The Glencoe Massacre

This was my question. I should have known what year the Glencoe Massacre took place in, but I managed to get it wrong.

It happened on 13 February 1692. I think I was swayed by the dates of the Jacobite rebellion, and I answered "18th".

As I've already said, I should have known it; but in my defence I would point out that I was arguably less than 8 years out, while someone who thought it had happened in (say) 1620 would have been 72 years out and would have got the points.

Better, surely, to ask for the year and give generous leeway? (I would suggest at least twenty years either way.)
